IN THE SIGN OF THE SUN AND MOON

In 2010 was founded a company and named it “Degussa” Frankfurt. A name, with roots going back to 1843, which first appeared in 1873. On the first day of 1843, the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt leased the city’s newly built precious metals refinery to Friedrich Ernst Rössler, the head of the new Frankfurt Mint. Rössler started the precious metal refining operations on 2nd January, laying the cornerstone for what would later become Degussa AG. About thirty years later, the Rössler family began negotiating with the metal trading company of Philipp Abraham Cohen (which would later become Metallgesellschaft KG) and Bank for Trade and Industrie (later merged into Dresdner Bank) to incorporate the refinery into a public company. An agreement was reached and Deutsche Gold-und Silber-Scheideanstalt vormals Rössler (German Gold and Silver Refinery) was established in 1873 with its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.

The company feels committed to this tradition and offer – under the name “Degusa”– a wide range of precious metals in the form of bars and coins and effect ceramic glazes. You will find Degussa products in our branch offices as well as in our online shop in product categories Effect Glazes, Color Glazes, Colorless Glazes.
www degussa online shop doesn't offer degussa pigments but you can find high-quality BASF Colours pigments in the glaze shop. In the degussa online shop of Degussa Frankfurt can be found a degussa gold online.
