Description
Turpentine (which is also called gum turpentine, the spirit of turpentine, oil of turpentine, wood turpentine, terebinthine, terebinthine, and (colloquially), turps) is a fluid obtained by the distillation of resin harvested from living trees, mainly pines. Mainly used as a specialized solvent, it is also a source of material for organic syntheses.
For diluting of Lusters (Lustres). For thinning down oils waxes, and cleaning tools.
Natural turpentine is specifically treated to reduce the likelihood of an allergic reaction. However, do not swallow, inhale or use in contact with the skin.
